Julie: Family Weekend in Chelan

Well I guess I am playing catch up today with the blogging world. My little sister Mouse and I just returned from the roadtrip of Gibralter...sp? anyway my eyes are burning and I think I am about ready to take a nap. So much for the resume I need to type and the jobs I need to look for. We left Gresham a week ago friday after lots of fun times and good meals with Gail. We headed up to Chelan for the weekend to spend some time with the family. Mom & Dad drove over from Sequim and we all had a fun weekend at the waterslides.

Julie: Move to Gresham!!

Well I officially have a new home! I moved to Gresham, OR the middle of July and was there just long enough to get my house set up and head back to Montana. We had some kids over one night, went for a swim in our pool and had a nice relaxing week. I am looking forward to getting back there and eventually settling back into the "real" world. Here are some pictures of the new apartment so you can all visualize where I live. If anyone feels like making a trip to OR you are more than welcome to stay with us!

Beth: First week in Cheyenne

Carolyn and I are about 10 days into our year in Cheyenne, Wyoming!!! We've started meetings, and have some hopeful interest. In just a few days I leave for conventions in Washington...I'm looking forward to the conventions and seeing friends and family, but it's also hard to leave Wyoming when I'm just getting started. I know I have a great year to look forward to when I get back.

It's "Frontier Days" in Cheyenne right now, so the town is overrun with "cowboys and cowgirls" in both broken in and brand new Wranglers. We joined in on some of the madness with a great early morning pancake breakfast and a show by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Awesome.

One of the Cheyenne friends, Jace Poulignot, gets pelted with pancakes!

Carolyn and I have been keeping track of the license plates we've seen from each state during the week. We're only missing 8 states out of 50! Maybe tomorrow will be successful and we'll finish out the rest before everyone goes home.

Only a week and a half until the three green jackets will be reunited! (You've probably seen them on earlier posts.) Wahoo! Yep... Sue is flying in for convention, and Jewls will drive up from Orry-gone. Now I'm smiling.

There are some great spots around Cheyenne for picture taking, so we've been experimenting with some "companion pictures." Let me know your favorite, and I can probably find a way to send you one!

Beth: 4th of July Weekend

4th of July 2008

The Holiday weekend this year brought loads of fun to Belknap...we had a tremendous get-together with reps from the Buckingham, Sanderson, Bennett, Chirico, Conrad, Price, Pendall, Strader, Scanland, McClain, Langley, Braaten, Durkee and Brewer families. We enjoyed Bar-B-Que, Badminton, horse shoes, lawn darts, frisbee, music, volleyball, shooting, hiking, camping, geo caching, fellowship, old west re-enaction, fireworks, campfires, and more Bar-B-Que. What an awesome weekend!!! I don't have pictures of many different people, so maybe Jewls will be willing to post some from her end??? Enjoy!

Beth: Another Busy Summer

So my first summer of convention rounds is half over!!! I went to Ronan preps and convention, Dagmar convention, and Manhattan convention. Now I'm back home at mom and dad's for a little time, and then on to Cheyenne, WY, where I'll be with Carolyn Jacobsen for the year! In August I head to Washington for conventions, and then in September to Kansas. Lots of miles!!! Glad to know that my traveling habit hasn't stopped yet.
